  2. this is so great, thanks so much! I love Chipotle, but avoid because of high calorie counts. This is fantastic information for those days when I just can't resist. Now splurges can be designed not to derail the day. Are the volumes above (for the bowls) the full size serving at the restaurant? I'm wondering if I can 1/2 the calories by only eating 1/2 the meal - they are huge servings anyway!

    1. Thank you so much! The volumes are for the full size bowls. You can definitely cut the calories by eating half the meal. You can also ask them to go easy on high calorie ingredients.

  3. A friend & I decided to go to dinner later tonight, & she wants to go to Chipotle, & I reluctantly agreed but was concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep my calories in check. Now I just found this web page - problem solved! Thank you very much!

  6. I always get a vegan bowl since I can't have dairy products and don't eat chicken, pork, or beef (what makes me not vegan is my consumption of fish and eggs). One thing that this post is missing is the difference between white and brown rice (I get brown indefinitely), and the difference between black and pinto beans. They are NOT the same--pinto beans are cooked with bacon and therefore will have a much higher calorie count.

    1. Thank you for your comment. I wrote this blog post almost two years ago. At that time Chipotle wasn't offering brown rice yet. I'm glad that is now an option. It is 10 calories less per 4 oz. serving than the white rice. Also, it was shortly after this post that it came to public awareness that there is pork fat in the pinto beans. Nevertheless the nutrition facts on the Chipotle website still estimate the pinto and black beans to be the same amount of calories per 4 oz. serving. Thank you for your comment.
